The design starts with the shoe-in-shoe concept for camping activities. Because Chinatown Market is a very playful brand and the name is related to Chinatown, I tried to make the final design a culturally trendy icon, I started to research what Chinatown and Chinese culture impressed Americans most, for instance, Chinese medicine.

After the pandemic, camping became a popular activity among young people especially in China, as a gateway to go outdoors and reunite with nature.

Gorpcore & Urban-Outdoor style also became the main trend. We want to re-explain this trend with a more playful Chinese style.

We decide to move on with IDEA 3, a Shoe-In-Shoe concept with Mules style. To develope a relaxing and playful atmosphere to help our customer to "re-join" nature.
